What is the MACC Group?

Midwest Advanced Crop Consulting (MACC) is an educational program developed to teach farmers how to increase corn & soybean yields on their farms, regardless of where you live. The program was developed by farmers, for farmers, and is led by award winning farmer Kevin Kalb.

How can Kevin & MACC help me?

Every farm is different, and what works on one farm may not work on another. Rather than telling farmers a set formula to increase their yields, Kevin will give you the tools to create your own formula for success, using your own farm's data and previous results. We use fundamental tactics and best-practices developed by Kevin Kalb over the past 20 years to increase your yields regardless of the location.

What will I learn?

Our educational platform will cover everything from: tissue samples, soil health, equipment setup, product knowledge, timing strategy, seeds, herbicides, fertilizers, and other secret tips & tricks developed by Kevin Kalb that he uses to win NCGA National titles year after year. You will learn effective ways of testing what works and what doesn't work on your own farm, and how to make continuous improvements that will guarantee positive results.

What does participation look like?

Meetings are virtual online, consisting of presentations, demonstrations, and interactive discussions on how to accomplish yield increases. An understanding of tissue samples and how to use that data is at the core of the program. Each meeting will discuss an anonymous tissue sample data-point relative to a high-yielding tissue sample. We will point out the problems we see with the sample and how to fix them. We also hold a MACC field day at Kevin Kalb's farm once a year to get hands on training using Kevin's actual contest fields.

Does Kevin host a Field Day?

YES! Not only will you learn directly from Kevin through virtual meetings, Kevin also hosts a MACC Field Day at his farm where MACC members get hands on training in Kevin's actual contest fields, where he himself learns from his own mistakes and uses that data to help you become a better farmer.

Do I Get Discounts on Farm Products?

YES! Enrollment in the MACC group means you get access to special discounts from product vendors that we have relationships with. These are the same products that Kevin is using on his farm. Once enrolled, you will have have access to discount pricing on products like: (enter products here).

How much does it cost?

Participation in the MACC group is the most affordable, and beneficial expense in your operation. The cost is only $3K per year and requires a 3 year commitment, because yield improvement is a gradual process that requires recursive and continuous adjustments over time. A three-year commitment to our process ensures that you have time to adapt your practices to the new protocol, hone your newly developed skills, and allows time for your new soil improvements to help increase the yields.

Did I see Kevin Kalb on TV?

YES! Kevin and his family are the stars of the Emmy nominated television series "Live To Farm" on the Discovery Channel and RFD-TV. The show takes a look behind the scenes at Kevin's farm operation, and what the day-to-day looks like for an average farm family. "Live To Farm" will be in attendance at Kevin's MACC Field Day, so you'll get the chance to be on TV and learn more about the program while they film the show.
